Dirty Washer Water Hose

So I found myself taking extra photos of my washing machine and took this picture of where the water comes out.

How does that get dirty??

This washer has definitely seen some mileage and it has never occurred to me to clean the hose where the water comes out. It’s gross. I’m going to figure out a way to clean this.

Has anyone else tried to clean this part of their washer, any advice?
